🔹 Appointed by DRD Gold on Sept 3, 2021, Roshqott was responsible for the design, supply, and installation of the medium-voltage grid connection for the new solar photovoltaic energy storage facility.
✅ Scope of Work:
⚡ 23 km of 33 kV monopole overhead lines
⚡ 2 km of 33 kV cable & racking through the plant
⚡ 40 MVA Ergo Main Plant Substation (22/6.6 kV)
⚡ PV Collector Substation
⚡ Refurbishment of the 6.6 kV Main Intake Substation
⚡ Full commissioning of all works

We’re excited to share the successful completion of Phase 2 of the DRD Gold Ergo Plant Brakpan project! 🎉
🔹 Appointed by DRD Gold on August 1, 2022, Roshqott was entrusted with the design, supply, and installation of the medium-voltage grid connection for the solar photovoltaic energy storage facility.
✅ Scope of Work:
⚡ Development of the 88/22/11 kV Main Substation at the Tailings site
⚡ Installation of 4 × 20 MVA transformers
⚡ Decommissioning & relocation of the existing 11 kV substation & PFC
⚡ Construction of an Eskom-compliant substation with 2 × 88 kV incomers
⚡ Full commissioning of all works
🎯 Project successfully handed over in November 2023 – on time & within budget!

⚡ Construction of the BESS building
⚡ Full commissioning & handover in November 2024 – on time & within budget!
